The visit to the Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River  (Nnonkonsuo or Donkor Nsuo) was life changing for me.
As I stepped into the river, I could feel the fear my ancestors endured. I began to weep and pray for their souls to be at rest.

I had the pleasure of touring with Queen Mother Nana Sekyiaabea in 2016. It was my first time in Africa and without a doubt the most memorable experience of my life. I loved the many different sites and meeting the true people of the continent and the history.

In 2016, I was fortunate to travel to Africa. I was a bit hesitant but my guide, my "Nana" assured me It would be a trip of a lifetime.
Queen Mother Nana was most knowledgeable, educated me and our group on so many levels of Ghanaian history, culture, people, leadership and more.
She is the go between Us and Africa.

Our travel coordinator’s (Nana Nehanda) recognized status in Ghana contributed to greater access to significant people and more opportunities for meaningful interactions throughout Ghana. We had direct engagement with local leaders and the most highly ranked traditional spiritual leaders in Ghana. Tours throughout the community gardens, the culturally rich community of Kumasi, and a five-star resort in the northern region added to an excellent experience.

Daughter of First President Kwame Nkrumah, Samia Nkrumah

Expressing his admiration for the first President of Ghana, the honorable President Kwame Nkrumah, the Councilman shared his sentiment with us. We responded by introducing him to the esteemed Samia Nkrumah, a Ghanaian Politician and Chairperson of the Convention People's Party, who is also the daughter of President Nkrumah. Samia Nkrumah's graciousness, kindness, and humility were evident during our encounter. Despite the fact that her father's Mausoleum was closed to the public at that time, she personally arranged for us to enter. Donning hard hats and vests, we were treated to a guided tour. Her heartfelt connection to her parents' love story moved us deeply, and her personal touch left a profound impact.

Visiting former President of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor

Los Angeles City Councilman Curren D. Price reached out to Mansa Musa Tours with the intention of fostering trade and commerce connections between Los Angeles City and the County of Ghana. Consequently, we facilitated his introduction to former President of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor.
